The Department of Transportation released its Transportation Improvement Project listing. This document lists

The first official meeting of the North Shore Heritage Commission took place on November 5th 1999. The State Legislature in July 1998 designated the North Shore of Long Island as a State Heritage Area. This designation includes the creation of a Heritage Area Commission. This Seventeen-member Commission is charged with preparing a management plan for the North Shore of Long Island. LIPC sits on the commission and wants to hear proposals and comments from citizens along the North Shore. Currently the commission has set up different committees. One of the committees charge is to decide what specific areas will included in the plan. Call Lisa with proposals and comments at 541-1006.
